How do I download enki ebooks to my iPad / iPhone? (or Android tablet / phone)

You can read enki Library eBooks on iOS or Android by using the Adobe Digital Editions app, which you can install on your device via the Google Play or the iOS app stores.

Note: if this is your first time using the Adobe Digital Editions app, you must first create an Adobe ID.

In order to download and read enki Library eBooks using the Adobe Digital Editions app on an iPhone or iPad, you must download the ebook file to your device with an alternate web browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox because the built-in Safari web browser will not work.

Google Chrome (iOS):

  1. Use the Chrome web browser to navigate to enkilibrary.org
  2. Tap on "Go to Standard View"
  3. Select your library from the drop-down menu
  4. Login with your library card
  5. Find a title you want to checkout
  6. Tap the "Checkout" button under the title book jacket image
  7. Tap "Close" after checkout confirmation
  8. Tap the "Download" button next to the title in your Account
  9. In the Chrome web browser, you will be see an "Open In" link at the bottom of the page
  10. Tap the "Open In" link and select "Copy to Digital Editions" (you may need to scroll to the right and tap the "More" icon to see "Copy to Digital Editions" as an option)
  11. If prompted to do so by the Digital Editions app, login with your Adobe ID

Mozilla Firefox (iOS):

  1. Use the Firefox web browser to navigate to enkilibrary.org
  2. Tap on "Go to Standard View"
  3. Select your library from the drop-down menu
  4. Login with your library card
  5. Find a title you want to checkout
  6. Tap the "Checkout" button under the title book jacket image
  7. Tap "Close" after checkout confirmation
  8. Tap the "Download" button next to the title in your Account
  9. Tap "Download Now"
  10. Tap the "Downloads" button at the bottom of the screen
  11. Tap the "URLLink.acsm" item in the Downloads list
  12. In the Firefox browser, you will see a list of apps you can use to open the ebook file
  13. Tap "Copy to Digital Editions" (you may need to scroll to the right and tap the "More" icon to see "Copy to Digital Editions" as an option)
  14. If prompted to do so by the Digital Editions app, login with your Adobe ID
